Gamma Irradiation-Induced Preparation of Polyacrylonitrile Acrylamide Nano-silica for Removal of Some Hazardous Metals

نویسندگان

چکیده

Gamma-irradiation initiated polymerization was utilized to prepare polyacrylonitrile acrylamide nano-silica (P(AN-AM)-NS). Various analytical tools like XRD, FT-IR, SEM, TEM, and DTA TGA were used estimate the morphology, functional groups, structure of P(AN-AM)-NS nanocomposite. The ability nanocomposite remove Cs(I), Pb(II), Cd(II), Sr(II), Cu(II) ions from multi-component system evaluated by batch techniques considering influence (shaking time, pH, reaction temperatures), capacity. At optimum distribution coefficients have selectivity order; Pb2+ > Cs+ Cu2+ Cd2+ Sr2+. kinetic data obey pseudo-second-order models. capacity reduced increasing heating temperatures solid powder. thermodynamic parameters showed an endothermic spontaneous. investigation proved that is a suitable organic–inorganic sorbent for sorption studied liquid solutions could be considered as potential material purification effluent polluted with these ions.

Application of Magnetic Nano Adsorbent Fe2O3 for Removal of Hazardous Ponceau-S Dye from Aqueous Solution

The photodegradation of Ponceau-S dye was investigated using UV radiation in presence of nanosized Fe2 O3 .Removal efficiency of Ponceau-S was sensitive to the operational parameters such as dye concentration, catalyst dose, pH, contact time, TOC and COD. The photocatalytic treatment of red colored Ponceau-S dye by magnetic nano semiconductor (Fe2 O3 )is an effective, economic and faster mode. ...

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...

Preparation of magnetic chitosan/Fe-Zr nanoparticles for the removal of heavy metals from aqueous solution

Copper and hexavalent chromium are heavy metals that are harmful to human health. Natural adsorbent chitosan, due to its considerable properties such as the presence of functional groups of –NH2 and -OH, non-toxicity, low cost, and biocompatibility, has gained much attention in pollutant removal. Therefore, in the present study, adsorption of chromium (VI) and copper (II) ions was conducted in ...
